23 percent more tourists in January 2018

The touristic boom in Georgia doesn't seem to stop. According to Giorgi Chogovadze of the Georgian National Tourism Agency, the number of visitors in January 2018 increased by 23% compared to the same period last year.

Most visitors came from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Armenia, Russia, and Iran. But also tourists from European countries like the Czech Republic, Lithuania, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands have visited Georgia. Neighbour country Armenia also aims for more tourists in 2018.
